Removing All Source Collars in Divinity: Original Sin 2When you first start out in Divinity: Original Sin 2, your character, along with all potential party members, will have a Source collar strapped to your neck. This prevents you from using any Source powers or magic, essentially putting you at a slight disadvantage when you’re in combat.
However, there is a way to remove them, though you’ll need to be a little eagle-eyed.When you first arrive at Fort Joy, examine the hatch on the ground near Griff. This will take you down to an underground passage where you can attempt a combat trial. Complete the trial, and you’ll be able to talk to the tinker (located back in Fort Joy, not the underground area) to remove the Source collar. Maybe they're unreliable, and they're still figuring out a more permanent cure before returning all the Sourcerers to their homes.
Happy mutters something about just how permanent the cure is, but says it isn't important when she asks what he meant.Bubbles thanks the nice Magister who fit them with their collars and heads off to explore the ship. After a brief cry-break, Bubbles skirts around the chunky remains of the former magister and into the Fort proper, only to find a bunch of thugs threatening a poor elf over some sort of financial dispute. Bubbles rushes in to explain that such behavior is NOT okay, but her heart really isn't in it. Fort Joy isn't as pleasant, orderly, safe, and definitely no-where near as clean as she'd expected. How could a place with such a nice name be so horrible and violent?Happy suggests a nice relaxing sit on the beach while she takes things in.
